Terms of Service | Rooted ADHD Family Journey

Plain language summary: By using our website or joining our membership, you agree to these terms. The membership gives you access to coaching, community, and resources — it's for your personal use and not for resale or redistribution. We can cancel memberships that violate these terms. Our content is not a substitute for medical or therapeutic treatment. That's the short version — full details below.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Rooted ADHD Family Journey website (rootedADHDfamily.com) and all associated services, including our membership, free resources, email communications, and coaching services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Laurie [Last Name] ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing our website, downloading our free resources, joining our email list, or purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Services.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

2. Our services

The Rooted ADHD Family Journey provides:

  • A paid membership program including educational content, group coaching sessions, community access, and downloadable resources for parents and caregivers of children with ADHD ages 8–18
  • Free downloadable guides and resources available through our website
  • Email communications including nurture sequences, newsletters, and membership-related updates
  • Optional 1:1 coaching services (subject to separate agreement and availability)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time with reasonable notice to active members.

3. Membership — access, billing, and cancellation

Access

Upon successful payment, you will receive access to the Rooted ADHD Family Journey membership platform. Access is granted to you personally and is non-transferable. You may not share your login credentials with any other person.

Billing

Membership fees are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually depending on the plan you select. Billing occurs on the same date each month or year as your original purchase. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

All prices are listed in US dollars (USD). Applicable taxes may be added depending on your location. You are responsible for any taxes imposed on your membership fees in your jurisdiction.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to process it again. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts, your membership access may be suspended until payment is resolved. We will notify you by email if a payment fails.

Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@rootedADHDfamily.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access until that date. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Refunds

We offer a 7-day satisfaction period for new members. If you are not satisfied with the membership within the first 7 days of your initial purchase, contact us at hello@rootedADHDfamily.com and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked.

After the 7-day period, membership fees are non-refundable. Annual memberships are non-refundable after the 7-day period.

Refunds for 1:1 coaching sessions are subject to the terms agreed upon at the time of booking.

4. Founding member pricing

Members who join during the founding member period are offered a discounted monthly or annual rate that is locked for the duration of their continuous membership.

Rate lock conditions: Your founding member rate is locked as long as your membership remains continuously active. If you cancel your membership and rejoin at a later date, your founding member rate will no longer apply and you will be charged the current standard rate at the time of rejoining.

We reserve the right to discontinue the founding member offer at any time for new sign-ups. Existing founding members are not affected by such changes while their membership remains continuously active.

5. Acceptable use

By using our Services, you agree to use them only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

  • Share your membership login credentials with others or allow unauthorized access to your account
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or resell any membership content, resources, guides, or materials without our written permission
  • Record, screenshot, or redistribute live coaching sessions without express consent from all participants
  • Use our community spaces to harass, demean, or disrespect other members or our team
  • Post spam, solicitations, or promotional content in our community without permission
  • Misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with any organization
  • Use our Services in any way that could damage our reputation or the experience of other members
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our Services or systems

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your membership without refund.

Our membership community is a safe, supportive space for parents navigating ADHD family life. We expect all members to treat each other with kindness, respect, and compassion. We reserve the right to remove any content or member that disrupts the safety and wellbeing of our community.

We strongly encourage you to work with qualified medical and mental health professionals — including pediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists — as part of your child's ADHD support plan. Our Services are designed to complement, not replace, professional care.

If you or your child is experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. In the US, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Results from participation in our membership vary and are not guaranteed. Individual outcomes depend on many factors including the specific circumstances of each family, consistency of implementation, and engagement with the program.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rooted ADHD Family Journey and Laurie [Last Name] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of our Services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the Services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rooted ADHD Family Journey, Laurie [Last Name], and any affiliates, agents, or contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of our Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe:

  • Violates these Terms or our community standards
  • Is harmful to other members, our team, or our business
  • Involves fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity

If we terminate your membership for a violation of these Terms, you will not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid.

You may terminate your membership at any time by cancelling as described in Section 3. Upon termination, your access to membership content will cease at the end of your current billing period.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, and indemnification — shall survive termination.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [Your State], United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Exception for European and UK users: Nothing in these Terms removes your right to bring claims before the courts of your country of residence or to benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in your jurisdiction.

12. International users

Our Services are operated from the United States. If you access our Services from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

United Kingdom and European Union

If you are located in the UK or EU, you may have additional rights as a consumer under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude rights that cannot be excluded under your local consumer protection laws.
